Grace Prior, Founder

Grace Prior is a teacher, mother, wife and friend. She has been practicing yoga since 2003 and teaching yoga and meditation since 2014. Through yoga, her ability to work through grief and begin to heal herself inspired her to become a teacher. She first received her Kundalini Yoga 200 hr training at Yoga West in Los Angeles, CA and began to teach. In 2017, Grace and her husband moved to Alberton, Montana to be closer to family and start one of their own. She began teaching Kundalini Yoga classes in their small mountain town, and found there was a great need for affordable yoga classes in the area. This need influenced her to further her education, and I received her Atha Yoga Immersion 200 hr training in 2020 in Missoula, MT as well as her Prenatal Yoga, Birth and Death Doula certifications. Her goal is to continue to provide free and affordable wellness services to the underserved community, and make holistic practices like yoga and meditation as well as pregnancy, birth, postnatal, and death support not just a reality for the privileged.

Laura Acker

I am Laura. My super power is organizing people to work toward a common goal.  I can ignite potential in partnerships creating movement in achieving goals.  I am committed to seeing projects move forward but recognize that my place in organizing is in the beginning phases, which includes developing leaders. I recognize strengths in people and foster the development of those strengths so they can become leaders in their communities.  I enjoy working toward causes that support Families, youth development and capacity building.  I specifically enjoy mentoring mothers with young children.

In the past, I developed two non-profits, acted as President for two separate non-profit boards, and sat on the Alberton School board for one term.

When I am not volunteering, I spend my time outdoors hiking, rafting or gardening.  I have three teenagers who keep life exciting.

Currently, I work for the Mineral County Health Department as a Parent Educator. I meet with parents bi-monthly to support them in the challenges of parenting, through offering resources and activities that they can do with their child to stimulate development. Through my work, I am able to offer equal access to services such as lactation counseling and doula support.

It is exciting to be working alongside Grace and Kelsey to improve access to yoga and meditation within the Alberton Community, specifically, those who cannot afford pay.
